Wow! You sure have been through a lot 🙁 I am glad the lady took back the horse and you were able to get your money back. I hope your recovery gets better each day. I hope you find more horses for your kids. Once you can get back into the saddle, and feel better, your kids might not be so frightened- from your previous experience, for riding 🙂

Thank you so much, Karen! We were so relieved when she said she’d take that horse back! We didn’t know what we were going to do if she didn’t, but we knew we could not keep her! We are continuing to look for another horse for my daughters. They are still scared at this point, but they will at least pet my other horse. When this happened, they wanted nothing to do with them at all. Now, though, I have hobbled out to groom them and feed them, so my children see my dedication even still to this beautiful animal. They aren’t all bad. We just got one that didn’t fit our family or our needs. Others might love that very same horse because of how it bolts and the speed. But, the important thing is just let this be a tiny bump in the road and get us all back in the saddle again soon! We are looking at another horse today that we hope will be suitable for them. If not, we will keep looking. I just do not want them to lose their desire now after what has happened. They were so passionate before about their love for horses.

I’m so glad to hear you are ok and despite the scary circumstances, grateful for the opportunity for God’s awesomeness to shine. I am having some family trouble presently, and this post was a reminder to keep trusting that God is in control, even in those scary moments. Thank you!

Oh bless your heart, Katy. I don’t know your situation or the circumstances, but I will be praying for you and your family, dear one. Yes, God is in control. He will bring beauty from ashes and will restore … I fully believe that. Just trust in Him and His awesome plan for your life and for your family.

It is important in the good times as well as the bad to know that HE is in charge. Also the difficult times are when I do most of my growing. It can be difficult to stomach at times, but just like you on that horse, you’ve got to hold on, and if we fall HE will be there to catch us. Thanks for sharing this and I’m so glad you’re ok.

Thank you, Christina! You are exactly right, and I have told my children the same thing. We truly do grow during times like these, but the pain and the injury will not last forever. Just hold on a little longer, and things are going to get better! God’s knows best, and He’s right there with us every step of the way!

Time and time again, when I start to doubt why something is happening, good or bad, I remind myself that HE is in control and although things might not go as I would like, I know that the plan HE has for me is the right one.

Jeremiah 29:11 is one of my most favorite bible verses, and I cling to that. Who knows, maybe this was part of His plan so that my children did not get greatly injured. It would have been much worse had it happened with them on the back of the horse, so I thank God that it was me instead. I keep saying that! God can see all, when all we can see is what is directly in front of us. I know that He will use this to bring glory to His name and something good is coming out of it.
