Welcome to We Care Wednesdays. Each Wednesday we want to talk about things the bother us no matter how big or small. Plus, we want to challenge everyone to do a little RAK (random act of kindness) during the upcoming week. We will be giving a suggestion for something simple to do. What we would really like is for you to be part of this and to give us suggestions, too.
So let’s start off with a little annoyance that for some reason bothers the heck out of me. I always park towards the back of the parking lot where ever I go shopping. I like to have the space in front of me empty so I can pull out instead of backing out. However, it never fails that someone will pull into the space in front of me while I am in shopping. This happens to me all the time. Even at 6am when I go to the market on the weekends. There can be hundreds of free spaces in the lot, and I will end up with someone parking in front of me. Yes, it is stupid for this to bother me. But it does. So now I just try to laugh about it. So what little things bug the dickens out of you?
Today’s RAK: Since I mentioned the market, there is something I started doing a while ago to see when kind of reactions I would get. If there is someone behind you in the checkout line, place the divider behind your items so that person can start putting their items on the conveyer belt. Sometimes it will take people by surprise. Since I started doing this some time ago, I am noticing more people doing the same thing. Only once have I had a gentleman make a smart remark about it. I just looked at him and smiled. No response is sometimes more powerful than a quick comeback.

I’m with you. I don’t like having to back out of spaces either. I try to find a pull through spot…and generally park farther away so I can, and pull all the way through before I park, but then getting groceries into the back of the car is sometimes difficult. I had recently noticed people putting the dividers in for the next person at the grocery store. I always appreciate it, since I’ve got my hands full with a 1 1/2 year old. 🙂 Blessings!

Thanks for the reply. I am glad to hear that other people are doing the thing with the dividers at the store where you shop. I live in a place where people are not that friendly or courteous so I try to do little things like this to maybe get them to notice and think a little more about those around them.

We care Wednesday. what bugs me . When I read a heart warming or sad story on face book and someone totally misses the piont or just doesn’t care and says something mean . I want to say something so bad but I don’t . And something kind that I like to do. When I am in a restrant or store or on the phone if some one seems to be having a bad day. I like to say something that I hope will change their mood. Deb
