Light, Love, Hope

Light in the Darkness Surrounded by Love with Hope for those in need.

It’s that time again for Five Minute Fridays. If you’ve been following along, Lisa-Jo provides a prompt word every Friday. You are to write on this word for five minutes without worrying about misspelled words, grammatical errors, etc. Just write your little heart out!

Isn’t it funny, and quite fitting, too, that today’s word is none other than WRITE!

Ready?

Set!

GO!

As I set out on this journey to document my innermost thoughts and feelings, I write to encourage, to uplift, and to inspire. I want to be your very own personal cheerleader over here rooting you on in all that you do. I want to be your biggest fan. I want you to see yourself the way God sees you. You are so beautiful, inside and out! I write to share God’s light, love, and hope with the world.

I began this journey several years ago. It was actually back in high school when I was taking a literature class. The teacher gave us writing prompts, much like Lisa-Jo, and we were instructed to take off to see just where our imaginations would take us. I remember pouring myself out over this journal. We had to turn it in weekly so the teacher could be sure we were working on our assignments. I had page after page after page filled to the rim. AND … she LIKED it! The teacher liked it! Not only did she like it, but she encouraged me to continue on with my writing long after our class was over. This encouragement has stuck with me, and so I continue to write and pour it all out. I want to use my words to lift someone up out of the darkness that they might be surrounded in right this very minute. I want to show them love … my love and God’s love … and I want to offer hope, especially if they feel all hope is gone … It’s not sweet friend.

I write to share my heart …and hope that it blesses some one some where … even if only one person … it will all be worth it.

STOP!
