We are well on our way into February, and as we prepare ourselves for Valentine’s Day on Friday, I wanted to talk to you about a different kind of love … the love you have for your teenager.
I am writing about the The 5 Love Languages of Teenagers New Edition: The Secret to Loving Teens Effectively in an (in)courage group that I am leading. In doing so, I provide information on what I’ve read in Dr. Gary Chapman’s book thus far so we can discuss it even if the ladies in the group have not read the book themselves. While what they have shared in the group will remain private and confidential, I would like to share what I have written in regards to the coverage I’ve provided thus far on the book. Remove The Labels & Put An End To Bullying!
Bullying is every where in this day and age, but that does NOT mean that it is acceptable behavior. I hope that this world does not ever get to where it accepts bullying as the norm. It’s not! Bullying says more about the person DOING it than it does about the one that is on the receiving end of it.
Words HURT! There are some people that enjoy seeing the reactions of people when they call them names or make hateful comments to them. I will never understand why people do this to others. read more…
From Monster Trucks To Prom Dresses
Yesterday was a fun filled day with the family! We had the absolute BEST time!
We started our day by going to the Party In The Pit with Monster Jam. We were providing coverage of the party and interviewing a national champion while at the show for another blog that I have the pleasure of writing for! My husband has been to the pit at the Nascar races before, but he’s never been to the Party In The Pit with the monster trucks … until now! As you can imagine, he was beside himself with excitement, and I joked that he was the biggest kid there. That actually reminded me of the saying that boys never truly grow up. The only thing that changes is the cost and size of their toys! How TRUE!
