American Christian Honor Society
Last night I had the honor and privilege of watching my 17 year old daughter being inducted into the American Christian Honor Society of the American Association of Christian Schools! This is the highest and most recognized honor.
The ceremony did not last very long, but it was a truly moving experience. They opened the service with prayer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, then to the Christian Flag, and finally to the Bible.
The speakers were full of encouragement and praise for all recipients. They poured such love over these young people’s lives as they recognized them for their great achievements.

Why DO We Judge Others?!
Have you ever stopped to ask yourself exactly why DO we judge others? It is rather common place in this day and age to see someone face to face and actually look them up and down as if we are summing them up right then and there. We are forming opinions about the way they are dressed, about their hair, their make up, and about how they are carrying themselves. We even look over at their companions and begin to judge them.

(in)courage – Parenting Teens & Thriving
Wow. What a completely humbling experience to see your picture and name up on the (in)courage website as a co-leader of one of their precious groups for the Winter Session! I knew that all of the pieces were put into place, and the early registrations were starting. I knew that very soon we would begin working within our groups. However, there truly are no words to express the feelings that overwhelmed me when I saw it for the very first time.
I have the honor and privilege of co-leading with Kate Battistelli on (in)courage – Parenting Teens & Thriving! I came to know and love Kate with being involved in the group just as regular members during the last (in)courage session. The ladies in this group blessed my heart and soul. I looked forward to interacting with them every week and some times several times a week! They were just precious souls who love the Lord and their children so much. We shared fun, exciting and heart warming moments. We also shared the difficult days and moments that most definitely made us drop to our knees in prayer.
If you are looking for community, if you’re trying to find your place … please check out all of the wonderful groups over at (in)courage. These ladies are just waiting to love on you and welcome you with open arms. There are groups for chronic illness, empty nesters, etc. There’s bound to be a group for you. Please check them out! You will be so glad you did.
