I am full of tears and sadness after reading this!! No, Shirley, we don’t know when our time will be up; and yes, we DO take like and our loved ones for granted! I do have a lot of photos from our growing up, but not many from my school – especially high school – days. Those are the memories we cherish; and pictures sure do help us to remember! I take TONS of photos; many saved on my external drive so I can look back at them from time to time.

I did my “One Day Visit” last year about visiting with my mom…I didn’t get to tell her goodbye; I didn’t get to tell her I loved her that last Sunday we visited…and Friday morning she passed. It IS hard; and you have so beautifully written of the love you had for your sister; your wanting to know “why”, but putting that aside so you could have a wonderful visit, full of her likes and the people she loved. Thank you for sharing your heart and your story…HUGS!!!

Honey, even though you did not get to speak those words to your mother, she knew … deep down in her heart. She truly knew!
