What a great way to start the school year off – praying over the children. They grow up so fast. I have no children going back to school this year, not even college, as they’ve all graduated. It’s like a blur. One day they were holding my hand and walking into their Kindergarten class and the next day they were all grown up.

Hope your children’s school year is the best yet! I just added my prayer to yours.

Thank you so much, Alli. You’re proof that we can get through this, even my Senior graduating in May of 2015.

It is awesome that we can give our concerns to God. God hears our prays and your girls will be just fine.

My babies are growing up as well. It’s not easy to let go.

Oh Ellen, I’m not sure I can do the whole “letting go” thing. I … don’t … want … to. lol

I don’t have any children or younger siblings, but I get emotional about my little cousins growing up. We have a tradition if them sending me their first day if school pictures and talking on the phone the morning of the first day of school. I hate living far away from them but we are blessed to be connected. This is lovely! =)

Aww, Addie, that is so sweet! I know you look forward to the first day of school pictures and the phone call. What a great way to mark this day even miles apart!

I teared up reading this. I think a lot about how fast my kids are growing up too and pray that my husband and I are able to be with them for long as possible to help them and guide them. There are some days when I get so overwhelmed that the Kleenex box is glued to my hand almost. In the end, I trust God to continue to watch over them regardless. It is in knowing that they will always have Him and His unfailing love in their corner that brings me peace day after day.

I hope both your girls have a wonderful school year!

Awww, thank you so much, Elizabeth. Bless your heart! I can completely understand where you’re coming from, too. We just have to trust in God and know that He will be there with them and for them. I pray that He allows us both to live long lives to be there for all of the moments in our children’s lives.
