I’ve rented textbooks before, and it is a great way to get the books you need but don’t intend to keep (or don’t want to purchase!) for a better price! It’s great that Campus Book Rentals donates to Operation Smile!

How awesome that you’ve tried this before and had a good experience renting textbooks! Thank you for adding this comment to help encourage others to do the same. Yes, if I was ever “on the fence” about trying this option, Operation Smile won me over!

What a great option for college kids. I always see the kids in our area trying to sell their books online and it never seems to work for them. You would think in today’s society, there would be a way to just offer the rentals, etc. online via ereader, and so on, you know? I’ll have to save this…my son will just be ending 7th grade this year, but interesting for when he gets older!

I have seen that around here, too, Jamie! It is hard to sell their old books, but now, this sounds like a much easier solution! My friend’s son graduates this year, so I will be recommending this for him when he enters college in the Fall!

Wish this was around with my daughter. Books cost me 1000 per year

Tara, that is what had me cringing, too, when I was looking at books for college for my daughter next year!

I had NO idea that you could rent textbooks! What a wonderful service! And that they benefit Operation Smile, to boot. Stopping by from Better Blogs and so glad I did!
